NPA OF JAPAN AWARDS LETTER OF APPRECIATION FOR IMMIGRATION'S SUCCESS IN UNCOVERING ONLINE FRAUD CASE

Jakarta, KORANTRANSAKSI.com – The success of the Indonesian Immigration ranks in uncovering immigration violations involving 13 Japanese nationals suspected of online fraud has garnered international appreciation. The National Police Agency (NPA) of Japan officially presented a Letter of Appreciation to 16 Immigration officers as a form of recognition for their tangible contributions to handling this transnational case.


The awards were presented to several high-ranking officials and officers directly involved in the disclosure of the case, including:

  1. Hendarsam Marantoko, Director General of Immigration.
  2. Yuldi Yusman, Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement.
  3. Arief Munandar, Director of Immigration Cooperation.
  4. Jaya Saputra, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration for West Java.
  5. Ritus Ramadhana, Head of the Class I Non-TPI Immigration Office in Bogor.
  6. Slamet Wahyuni, Head of the Jakarta Immigration Detention Center.
  7. Officers from the Intelligence and Enforcement Section of Bogor Immigration who worked professionally and in a coordinated manner.


Kobayashi Masaya, Director of the Second Organized Crime Division of the National Police Agency of Japan, expressed deep appreciation for the support of Indonesian Immigration as stated in the award:

"I would like to express my gratitude for your great contribution to the arrest of the fugitives in your country, who were responsible for telecommunications fraud cases occurring in Japan. I hereby convey my sincere gratitude for your extraordinary assistance."


The Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, emphasized that this award is the result of the hard work of all ranks in upholding the dignity of the country's laws and strengthening international cooperation.

"This award from the NPA of Japan is proof that Indonesian Immigration is capable of working professionally and responsively, and is trusted in handling transnational crimes. This is the result of the collective dedication of all officers in the field," he stated.


Furthermore, Hendarsam added that this success serves as motivation for all Immigration personnel to continue improving the quality of supervision and public service.


"We will continue to be present to safeguard national sovereignty, take firm action against every immigration violation, and provide the best service to the community. 'Immigration for the People' is not just a slogan, but a real commitment in every step of our service," he asserted. (TIM)
